MACRAMÈ ITALIA and the new concept of Fashion 3.0

Founded in 2019, MACRAMÈ ITALIA is headquartered in Campi Salentina (Lecce) and the production is carried out entirely within the "Manifattura Tessile Salentina" site.

The clothing company preserves the Italian know-how and exalts local craftsmanship, typical of the Salento area (which is the southeastern extremity of the Puglia region, known as the 'heel' of the boot-shaped Peninsula).

Being a sustainable and eco-friendly brand, MACRAMÈ ITALIA is characterized by environmentally and socially responsible business practices.

All the materials used are carefully selected, many come from Italian organic farming, including GOTS-certified natural fiber yarns like cotton, linen, wool, Alpaca, silk and Tencel fabric.

Each garment is made only upon receipt of the order, satisfying the expectations of consumers that shop in an ethically conscious way.

Designed by the company owner Alessandra Schilardi who this season collaborated with the fashion designer Mattia Scalinci, MACRAMÈ ITALIA's creations form sophisticated ensembles that enhance femininity with minimal chic tones.

In a world where many people are prisoners of judgments and prejudices, differences are rarely considered an enrichment and everyone wants to bring out their own concept of "normality", the new Macramè Italia Collection finds its own dimension.

A fantastic alternative reality has been recreated where beings with any type of body shape can live freely and in symbiosis with nature, which welcomes the two fairies in a maternal way.

The message that MACRAMÈ ITALIA intends to convey through this dreamy representation is an invite to: reconnect with nature, avoid discriminatory behaviours, accept that every body has a story and every woman is beautiful just as she is.

The prevalent elements of their fashion line are: natural colors + black & white, precision of the tailoring and well-defined cuts, sometimes lightened by asymmetries. The austere tones dictated by some exasperated volumes (outerwear and shirts) are combined with the delicacy of silk pieces, available both in bright tones (such as purple) and in subdued tones (brown and beige). Cotton is blended with recycled materials (mainly technical fabrics & imitation leather) and viscose gives shape to trousers and shorts. Finally, the neck, in a unique stylistic variant, is considered an indispensable component to make the outfit even more interesting.
