On Thursday 21st October 2021, VIAMADEINITALY was awarded by the Minister of Economic Development, Giancarlo Giorgetti, during his Institutional Mission in the USA.

Together with the other winner "Genoa Instruments", our start-up was selected out of more than 200 companies which took part in the competition "Showcase Italian Innovation", conceived to promote the innovation embodied by Made in Italy startups in the United States.

This Project was followed by the Consulate General of Italy in Boston, in collaboration with Bocconi University in Milan, its start-up acceleration program "Bocconi for innovation" (B4i) and Harvard Business School (HBS), the most prestigious University in the World and a symbol of academic excellence, where the Award Ceremony was held.

The event was attended by the following Authorities (who intervened in person and remotely):

  • Mariangela Zappia, H.E. Ambassador of Italy to the United States;
  • Federica Sereni, Consul General of Italy in Boston;
  • Gianmario Verona, the Rector of Bocconi University;
  • Stefano Caselli, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at Bocconi University;
  • Nico Valenti Gatto, Operating Director of Bocconi for innovation (B4i);
  • Dante Roscini, one of the Italian Professors at Harvard Business School (HBS), who teaches Management Practice of Business Administration;
  • Gary Pisano, Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Development at HBS;
  • Raffaella Sadun, Professor of Business Administration in the Strategy Unit at HBS;

Thanks to the victory obtained, we will have a precious opportunity to find new partners, investors and customers in the United States of America, as well as to learn more business development techniques that will help us expand globally.
